As crystals absorb the energy of their environment it is important to go through these steps regularly.

Cleanse -with sunlight (some are photosensitive so don’t leave for too long can change colour of Topaz, Kunzite, Amethyst) Hold crystal under rain water or natural flowing streams Smudge using the smoke of paulo santo or sage.
 
Charge - Under the moonlight or visualisation.

Programme - Hold your Crystal Amulet in your right hand and set an intention for what energies you would like to programme your crystal with that day- eg peace, love, protection etc Then transfer your Crystal Amulet to your left hand to receive the energy.

You may experience a crystal breaking this signifies that you do not need the energy of this crystal anymore and it’s journey with you is now over. The crystal has taken on the issues you have worked through and are ready to release. The luminous colours of Opals will fade and shift over time as they are in constant contact with you skin which is excreting natural oils.
